Liverpool flop David Ngog is wanted by Roy Keane for the 2009/10 campaign.
The News of the World claims that Ipswich manager Keane is 'desperate' to make his first summer signing and add to his striking options.
Currently, last season's top scorer Jon Stead, Pablo Counago and Kevin Lisbie are the only three senior strikers at Portman Road. Jon Walters is considered as a right-midfielder, or at least he was for the most part of Jim Magilton's reign, although prolific lower league hitman Jordan Rhodes and Blues history-maker Connor Wickham will be looking to make the step up next season.
Lisbie's future remains unclear after he was unwilling to move closer to Town's training ground despite orders from RK. Even if Lisbie stays, there is room for a 20 goal a season striker - we haven't had one of them in a while.
Ngog is understood to have been watched by Ipswich representatives at the Toulon tournament recently. He moved to Anfield last season from Paris St Germain but failed to establish himself.
