Keep Your Hands Off Our Game!
We, supporters have been seen as petty customers who don't have any importance other than financial support for the clubs that we have faithfully supported. Our thoughts and comments have been disregarded by figures who are not only running football but other sports as well. Whereas they were the ones trying to separate the individuals from institutions so that they can put the blame on individuals and give immunity to the clubs, they were the ones that followed the orders of the company who owns the TV rights of the league. They have rushed the Violence in Sports Act which heavily penalizes supporters. But once the match fixing investigation surfaced and the legislation touched them, they again rushed to change the legislation without hesitation and without dignity. Now they are trying to change the Article 58 of the Turkish Football Federation's Disciplinary Code, relegation penalty for clubs involved in match fixing. It is apparent that all these actions are the manifestation of their guilt.
They are doing everything to maintain the twisted system they have been enjoying for ages. They don't care if the supporters are distancing themselves from the game because of the erosion of justice, they don't care the empty stands at the stadiums. They ignored the chance to make our football fair, just and transparent.
We are football fans, that's our common identity. What makes us one, makes us ride in the same boat is the love for football, we support the game.
