I am writing to you from Turkey. I am just a football fan who thinks football is a lifestyle as long long it is played fairly. We live with football in Turkey. We are passionate and addicted to Football.As you all know there is a case on the run for one of the big football club about fixing the matches. The president of Fenerbahce is going to court to be judged and two of his vice presidents are sent to jail as well as some other clubs presidents. This looks like a big organisation. The police have evidences that the matches were fixed. Evidences are obvisous with the photographs,videos,recorde​d phone calls and chase. We belive that court will take the best decision soon.



But when it comes to Turkish Football Federation we have big suspicions, there is a big chaos in Turkish football at the moment. All these fixing matches and illegal attemps need to be sorted and football must be clean and fair. But regretfully we are not sure if that is going to happen. Because the president of Turkish football federation is a big fan of Fenerbahce. And also he is sponsoring Fenerbahce's Volleyball Club, and he has been supporting to Fenerbahce clup for many years financially. We all know that the biggest goal of him is to be head president of Fenerbahce. He declared those many times and we believe that he will do anything to keep Fenerbahce football club in the Turkish superleauge.



And it is not over yet. Lig tv which broadcasts the football matches has a big control over Turkish Football Federation and they always have big effects on every decision Turkish Football Federation

takes.It is so clear that Lig TV does not want Fenerbahce to play in the second division ( Bank Asya 1. Lig ). They do no want a cut on their incomes and they are giving a big pressure on Turkish Football Federation. There is a big campaign from the press and media to keep Fenerbahce in the Turkish Superleague.



Dear Uefa officers this is the situation in Turkish Football. We all expect a fair decision on this issue and we expect a real serious check and monitoring and warnings to be made if necessary. Otherwise there will be a big chaos in Turkish Football for a long time and if Fenerbahce do not get punished you will be one of the responsible office for this.

hink of a country, where its so called super league's regulations are changed overnight. For the sake of more games, more airings and more income, millions of football fans are condemned to empty stands, low quality games and a football shadowed by match fixing.



Think of a country, where the football played on the pitch is the least of the factors that is effecting the results. Where the Parliament, the Football Association, legislators, club officials, everyone except footballers have more say over the outcome of the game.



Think of a country, where political parties are dragged into football with their consent and the autonomy of football has been raped.



Think of a country, where the legislation passed just 6 months ago is trying to be changed as a result of the pressure of the football clubs, once the crimes covered by the legislation are under investigation and the indictments are underway. Both public conscience and universal justice norms are disregarded. Instead of fighting with match fixing, legislation wants to be transformed so that the penalties are more lenient.



Think of a country, where its football has been crushed by match fixing but everyone is more interested in saving the culprits than the football itself.



Unfortunately this country is Turkey.





Since the beginning of July 2011, we have tried to appeal to the international sports community to support us in our struggle against the match fixing scandal in Turkey. Finally the day has come and the indictment is announced publicly. The extent of match fixing, intimidation and extortion in the indictment is severe not only for football but also for any criminal act. But Turkish Football Federation is still evading to implement disciplinary actions and biding its time.



Now it is time for justice. We do not want to be a part of this wicked, unfair, political scenario. We again appeal to all the fans, football and sports officials and justice conscious people to put an end to match fixing in such a way that a strong message is given to the world that such acts are not to be tolerated. If dissuasive penalties are not given, our confidence in the fairness of football will be shattered to pieces. If football's governing bodies look the other way while the spirit of the game is violated openly, doubt will cast over every single football game played in the world.



We also appeal to our President Mr. Abdullah Gul to keep standing firm against pressure to change the legislation.

Bir ülke düşünün ki; Süper Ligin prosedürünü dahi değiştirmekten çekinmeyenler; daha çok maç, daha çok yayın, daha çok gelir sloganıyla hareket ederken; boş tribünlere, kötü futbola, şike ve teşvik gölgesindeki bir lige mahkum etti milyonlarca futbolseveri.

Bir ülke düşünün ki; sahada oynanan futbol, sonuca etki eden en son etmendir.

TFF'den, Kulüpler Birliği’ne kadar herkes ama herkes müsabaka sonucu hakkında sahadaki futbolcudan çok daha fazla söz sahibidir. Bir ülke düşünün ki; siyasi partileri futbolun içine sokmaktan, siyasi partilerde futbolun içine girmekten, en önemlisi, futbolun özerk yapısını hiçe saymaktan çekinmediler.

Bir ülke düşünün ki; 6 ay evvel yürürlüğe giren kanun soruşturma ve iddianamenin kamuya açıklanması sürecinde değiştirilerek; şike ve teşvik suçlamaları açıkça itiraf edilmiştir.

Bir ülke düşünün ki; bir kanunu "cezalar ağır" diye hafifleterek, o suçu işleme potansiyelinin maksimum olduğunu açıkça itiraf etmiştir. 6 ay evvel çıkan bir kanun, niçin ilk şike soruşturması sırasında apar topar değiştirilmeye çalışılır? Dürüst insanlar suçu ve suçun oluştuğu ortamı ortadan kaldırmakla yükümlüdür, cezaları kişilere göre düzenlemekle ve değiştirmekle değil.

Bir ülke düşünün ki; futbolu, sadece şikenin altında ezilmiş değil, aynı zamanda onunla mücadele etmek yerine cezalarını indirmekle meşgul.

Bu ülke ne yazık ki Türkiye.

"Eğer yaşananlara ağır bir yaptırım uygulanmazsa, dünyada futbolu yönetenlerin temiz futbol sözlerine olan güvenimiz sarsılacaktır.
