Sport.co.uk understands that Hapoel Tel Aviv goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is in talks with Turkish club Galatasaray over a summer transfer to the club. According to the player’s agent Andreas Muller Galatasaray have beaten West Ham and Arsenal to begin talks with the talented Nigerian international who has impressed at the World Cup with a string of impressive saves against Argentina. West Ham United were reportedly leading the chase for the player however Galatasaray have become favourited to land the Hammer's target after opening talks with the stopper.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had agreed terms with the player, however according to sources in Israel the Gunners boss pulled out of a deal to sign the stopper because of the required asking price. West Ham were tipped to sign the player with reports this morning suggesting a deal was close to bring the keeper to Upton Park, however Sport.co.uk can confirm that Galatasaray are in talks with the player over personal terms.
West Ham United’s new owners are reportedly eager to bring in a new stopper at the Boleyn Ground and new boss Avram Grant earmarked Enyeama after his impressive display against Lionel Messi and his Argentinean teammates, however David Sullivan and David Gold have fallen behind Turkish giants Galatasaray. According to Andreas Muller there are 8 offers on the table for the talented 27-year-old, however it is unknown if Gunners boss Arsene Wenger or West Ham boss Avram Grant are part of the eight that have agreed terms with Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Andreas Muller told Sport.co.uk that Galatasaray had moved ahead of West Ham and Arsenal in the chase for the Nigerian international: “We are in negotiations with Galatasary regarding the player. Vincent (Enyeama) must make a final decision as there are 8 offers on the table at the moment, but we have entered talks with the Turkish club.
“Galatasaray would be a good move for Vincent, giving him a good platform to grown in European football. But he must make the final decision."
