Dos Santos Injured In Ipswich Draw
A week before Mexico's crucial World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica, Giovani Dos Santos left his match for Ipswich Town in the 26th minute due to injury.
Mexico international Giovani Dos Santos left Ipswich Town's league match against Watford with a groin injury.
Dos Santos, who on Friday was called in to Mexico's roster for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Costa Rica and Honduras, left the match in the 26th minute. He limped off the field and headed immediately to the locker room.
The extent of the injury was not immediately known.
Earlier this month, Dos Santos was loaned to Ipswich from Tottenham and promptly scored on his debut for the Championship club. On Saturday, Dos Santos had a shot on goal early in the match. The game finished in a scoreless draw.
Dos Santos played in Mexico's first World Cup qualifying match, a 2-0 loss to the United States.
