Cevap: Abdullah Avcı Resmen Milli Takımın Başında !
Avcı takes up Turkey mantle
Abdullah Avcı, who led Turkey to victory in the 2005 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, has replaced Guus Hiddink as senior national coach after a successful spell at İstanbul BB SK.
Turkey have appointed Abdullah Avcı as their new coach following the departure of Guus Hiddink earlier this week.
Hiddink agreed to terminate his contract early following the UEFA EURO 2012 play-off exit to Croatia. The 48-year-old Avcı has left İstanbul BB SK to take over on a deal until May 2015, his first task to prepare for FIFA World Cup qualifying, where Turkey are in Group D alongside the Netherlands, Romania, Hungary, Estonia and Andorra.
Avcı's coaching career began with his last club as a player, İstanbulspor AŞ, in 1999 before a spell as Galatasaray AŞ academy chief. He took over Turkey's U17 team and in his first season secured victory at the 2005 European finals in Italy and reached the FIFA U-17 World Cup semis, his squad including current internationals Caner Erkin and Nuri Şahin. In August 2006 he moved to İstanbul BB, leading them to promotion in his first season and keeping them in the Super League ever since.
