Boris Rotenberg refused to sell Batrakov to a French club for 30 million euros. “A certain Bulgarian intermediary, through the Nagornykhs, offered, thanks to his connections in Paris, to organize a transfer more expensive than the compensation of 20 multis (which comes into force only on July 1). A person named Diyan wanted to receive everything above 25 units in the form of agency fees. He turned to lawyers from Sila to prepare an authorization, which was then certified by Cherkizovo. Then, through an intermediary, the clubs negotiated the terms of the deal, but the participants in the communication did not have any papers or direct contact with PSG. The insider further adds that the transfer amount was supposed to be about 30 million euros, four of which would be received by the player’s agents, five by “a certain Bulgarian intermediary” and 21 by Lokomotiv. This state of affairs did not suit Rotenberg: he refused to sign an agency agreement.
At the same time, as Karpov writes, there is a possibility that Batrakov will still move to PSG. Previously, French publications reported that the transfer had failed. “The Nagornykh party is trying to put the squeeze on Rotenberg and earn more than 20 million for the club, and not 16, as in the case of a regular sale under the buyback option. Now the chairman is convincing the general director of the need to formalize the deal with the participation of the Bulgarian,” concluded Karpov.
Last season, 20-year-old Batrakov played 28 matches, scored 13 goals and gave nine assists..
