Galatasaray refused to undergo a rapid test, as provided by law, in order to enter the country, it was not allowed to enter and left, clarified in an announcement published on the Civil Protection website the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management Nikos Hardalias.
According to the relevant announcement, the one scheduled for tomorrow 13/7. A friendly football match between the teams of Olympiacos and Galatasaray does not take place in the context of an international event with an approved entry protocol in our country. Therefore, for the entry of the Galatasaray mission, what is provided in JM 2978 / t.B '7-7-2021 is applied and according to par. 5 of article 3 where it is explicitly provided that all travelers to Greece, regardless of nationality and enter the country, are subject to sampling laboratory test by PCR method or test using rapid coronavirus antigen detection covid 19 (rapid test) on the basis of a health algorithm.
In the case of Galatasaray the PLR QR code showed a mandatory rapid test for all incoming. The Civil Protection activated its mechanism, so that there are additional crews so that the Turkish mission does not suffer with expectations, but it refused to undergo a rapid test in accordance with the provisions of the current Greek legislation.(Skai)
