The deal sounds a bit better than this. Galatasaray will be renting him, with an option to buy him for 3 mill Euro. I have been negative to this deal, but this seems like a better option. He is rated as the 137 best player in Norway in 2021, has scored only 5 goals in the season, and has proven to be not good enough when Rosenborg has played agains the best teams. Rosenborg is nowdays an average team in a poor liga in Europe and ended only number five. Ceide is not concidered to be good enough for the prefered starting 11 also... So this is a big risk. The only real good thing is that he is only 20 and can still become a good player.

People in Norway do not think he is ready to go to Galatasaray. He is still living with his mum, and have had really mental problems when playing with any preasure at all - going to Galatasaray and Turkey, from safe and a small city in Norway might not be a think he can cope with.,..

The article is saying that Galatasaray offered Rosenborg a loan with an option to buy for 3m euros. So if Ceide is doing well here we can buy him for 3m, if he doesn't perform he can go back to Rosenborg, if they accept the bid ofcourse.

To be fair, i like his style of play. Right now, we have a 35 year old Ryan Babel on the bench as a left winger. I would prefer a youngster like Ceide instead of a 35 year old.

I also think that Ceide might be a better solution than Babel, but the problem is that he has not been good enough for a team which is a lot worse than Galatasaray, so the chances that he will not succeed is extremely high. But if it is only with an option to buy - that is no problem. So if this article is correct, im a bit positive. He has sometimes shown really good skill - so he might be a good player in the future.

I respect your opinion but don’t totally agree with you. As you’re living in Norway you know more than me about the Norwegian league but that list that you posted isn’t really credible. I will explain why. In 2021 Tripic is rated as the 15. best player in Norway and in 2019 the 2nd best player in Norway. The same Tripic failed at Goztepe. I even saw Etsaz Hussain rated high in that list. The same Etsaz couldn’t make it at Kasimpasa.

Ceide had last season 5 goals and 3 assist in the league. Still young, 20 years old. After TV2 came up with the news that we made a bid for him I watched 2 home games of him. The 5-0 against Odds and the 3-2 against Tromso. I could see that he isn’t ready to bring us straight to a higher level but if you look to our transfers from this season we have chosen a different way. We have chosen to bring promising young players with potential. As main reason to build a team with low salary but at the same time compete, grow, develop the young players and make profit from their sales. In the games against Tromso and Odds I saw that Ceide is technical, has pace, can dribble and creates chances from the wings. This is the profile that we lack in our team. We dont have wingers who has pace, runs forward and likes to challenge the left/rightbacks from the opponent. There are a lot of teams buying young players from Norway/Denmark for a low fee. The most important is to scout the right profile for your team. Maybe this post will give you a different view.

But th Tripic rating also shows how poor the Norwegian league is at the moment... If the article is correct - we should buy. Sometimes he is really good, and sometimes he is quite poor.
