Crystal Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the month

Crystal Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June.
The 30-year-old left-back is one of several players who are out of contract at the south London club this summer.
Van Aanholt is part of the Netherlands squad at Euro 2020 and started in their 3-2 Group C win over Ukraine.
He has been offered a contract from Turkish side Galatasaray and there is also interest from clubs in the Premier League, Italy and Spain.

“Then it is sitting down and deciding whether I want to continue playing in the Premier League or try something new abroad.
“He [his agent] normally calls me when he’s got an update, when a new club is at the table and he’s speaking to a club.
“I must say, when Christian Benteke signed his deal a few weeks ago I did call and say ‘what’s going on? You said nobody is getting a new deal’.
“He explained why Christian signed his and that’s fine. I have full trust in him and he’s done well for me up to this point and has been my agent since I was 17. He’s done great for me.
“I’m sure in the next few weeks he’ll be working hard and by July 1 I’ll be ready to start pre-season somewhere.”
